CaratIQ, an AI-powered operating system designed for jewellery retailers, has announced an exclusive partnership with Nationwide, one of the largest jewellery buying groups in Australia and Oceania, representing more than 400 stores across Australia and New Zealand. Under the agreement, CaratIQ will become the exclusive provider of cloud-based point-of-sale systems, customer relationship management tools, and AI-powered retail technology for Nationwide members.

The partnership aims to bring core retail functions together on a single platform, enabling jewellers to manage sales, inventory, customer relationships, repairs, reporting, communications, and AI-assisted workflows within one integrated system. As part of the rollout, CaratIQ has also integrated Nationwide’s Repair Price Book and Retail Management Report directly into its platform, giving members seamless access to essential operational tools.

CaratIQ founder Ryan Abdullah said the collaboration marks a significant expansion into the Australian and New Zealand markets. He noted that Nationwide’s network of more than 400 independent jewellery stores provides a strong foundation for introducing purpose-built retail technology tailored specifically to the jewellery sector. He added that the partnership reflects CaratIQ’s aim to strengthen its regional presence and support retailers with more efficient, data-driven tools.

Early adopters within the Nationwide network cited operational improvements and stronger customer engagement as key benefits. Romel Santos, a jewellery store owner and Nationwide member already using the platform, said CaratIQ had helped simplify business operations and improve visibility across different areas of his store. He also highlighted the platform’s AI tools as a major advantage, emphasizing their ability to save time and generate insights that support more personalized customer service.

In New Zealand, Clyde Vellacott and Rachel Vellacott of Jamies Jewellers, another Nationwide member preparing to adopt the system, said the platform would support their growing e-commerce business and improve integration between online and in-store experiences. They emphasized the importance of bringing point of sale, inventory, customer data, and digital channels into a single ecosystem to better serve customers at every touchpoint.

Nationwide CEO Glen Pocklington said the partnership reflects the changing nature of jewellery retail, which is becoming increasingly personalized and relationship-driven. He noted that modern retailers need systems capable of capturing detailed customer information, tracking preferences and milestones, and enabling more relevant interactions. According to Pocklington, CaratIQ offers a modern cloud-based solution designed to help retailers improve efficiency, reduce manual work, and strengthen customer engagement across the network.
